Dr. Nan Nelson attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she honed her expertise in psychiatry. She completed her adult psychiatry training and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the esteemed Case Western Reserve/University Hospitals of Cleveland, earning double board certification in both fields. Dr. Nelson further specialized in perinatal and women’s mental health under the mentorship of Dr. Miriam Rosenthal at McDonald Women’s House.

Before embarking on her medical career, she completed an MBA and early childhood education, demonstrating her diverse academic background. Residing in Northeast Ohio, Dr. Nelson enjoys a vibrant household with her two children, three cats, a dog, and four lizards.
