Michele Fried, L.I.S.W.
Michele Fried, LISW, is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who works with individual adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, and difficulty adjusting to life changes.
Her services are tailored to each client and grounded in well-accepted practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
Michele adopts a strength-based perspective, focusing on "what's working" and "what needs to change." Her style is direct yet compassionate, partnering with clients to explore their authentic selves and empowering them to reach their fullest potential.
Michele completed her undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and received her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. As a practicing attorney in both the Commonwealth of Virginia and Ohio, Michele advocated for individuals in the criminal justice system and practiced family law. After taking time off to raise her children, she earned her Master's in Social Work from Cleveland State University. She has worked in community mental health, treating individuals, couples, and groups at various levels of care, including outpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
